The biggest air show in Romania, Bucharest International Air Show & General Aviation Exhibition (BIAS), will take place next weekend (August 30-31) at Bucharest Băneasa-Aurel Vlaicu International Airport. Over 100 civil and military aircraft will participate in the event, as well as over 150 pilots and paratroopers from 13 countries, thus celebrating 20 years since Romania's accession to NATO.

BIAS 2024, which will take place on Saturday, August 31, at Băneasa Airport, is organized by CNAB, the Romanian Air Force, the Aeroclub of Romania, ROMATSA, ROMAERO and the AIBO Sports Club.

BIAS 2024 is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Economy, bringing together over 100 civil and military aircraft, in aerial evolutions and exposed to the public, as well as over 150 pilots and parachutists. BIAS is an air force show, where civil and military aviation aces from 13 states will delight spectators with breathtaking aerobatics and elite displays, as well as aircraft on display on the ground.
Special guests of the 14th edition are the aerial acrobats of the Baltic Bees, the Latvian band with a unique piloting style in the world, performing artistic maneuvers of maximum difficulty with L39 C Albatros aircraft.
The participants will have the opportunity to admire the spectacular evolutions of the military pilots of the Romanian Air Force, who will perform artistic demonstrations of supersonic force in the arms of the aircraft:
F-16 Fighting Falcon,
IAR-99 Falcon,
IAR-99 STANDARD,
C-27J Spartan transport aircraft,
C-130 Hercules,
IAK-52 training aircraft,
IAR-330 helicopters,
IAR-316 B.
They will also be able to watch air policing and airborne support exercises.
There will also be a static exhibition, where the Romanian Air Force will show the public F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, IAR-99 SOIM, C-27J Spartan, IAR 330 helicopters, a TPS-79R low/medium altitude radar, a launch facility of HAWK surface-to-air missiles, an M903/PATRIOT missile launcher and an EOD vehicle. |
