With a remarkable career spanning more than six decades, the artist is considered one of the greatest singers of all time, selling over 100 million records, receiving multiple awards and honors, and being heavily involved in the entertainment industry.
Tom Jones initially started his music career as a member of a local band, The Senators.
He later formed his own group, Tom Jones and the Squires, playing gigs in clubs and pubs.
He later signed with Decca Records in London, launching a successful career and achieving international fame, thanks to the release of hits such as "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat?" "Delilah" and "Green, Green Grass of Home."
82-year-old Tom Jones has received some of the best reviews of his career for his latest Ethan Johns-produced albums, 'Surrounded By Time', 'Long Lost Suitcase', 'Spirit In The Room' and ' Praise & Blame”.
Critics praised both the music and Jones' vocal performances, highlighting his undeniable and unique talent both in the studio and on stage.
But his career took off in the early 1960s, achieving international fame with his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence. He had a string of hit songs including "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat?" In addition to his music, Tom is very active in the music industry participating as a coach on the famous show The Voice UK, contributing to the MusiCares 25th anniversary event (in honor of Bob Dylan) as well as the 57th of the Grammy Awards, being also very involved in supporting charitable causes.
His recent autobiography 'Over The Top And Back' was a bonafide best-seller and the release of his 2021 album 'Surrounded By Time' made him the oldest artist to reach number 1 in the UK Official Album Chart , thus dethroning Bob Dylan.
