The Guns N' Roses World Tour kicked off on June 1 with a show at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, and continued two nights ago with a show in Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Park played host to the legendary Guns N' Roses on Monday night, with an audience of 60,000 fans and a three-hour show.
"What a nice meeting with friends. Thank you for coming," the band said to the audience present at the concert in Yarkon Park, Tel Aviv.
Six years have passed since the band's last concert in Israel, and 20 years since the first. The show lasted three hours, started with the song "It's So Easy" and continued with some beloved classics such as "Welcome to the Jungle", "Live and Let Die", "Estranged" and "Civil War", the last being dedicated to Ukraine.
Among the more than 30 songs that Guns N' Roses performed was "Anything Goes" from the album Appetite for Destruction. According to Setlist.fm, the song has only been played 40 times since its release, and the last time was in 1988.
Fans on social media added that the band's 2023 setlist for the new global tour was the freshest in years.
Audiences at the two concerts witnessed remarkable energy from the band, which included several guitar solos from Slash and a seven-minute version of the 1992 hit "November Rain" (the video for which garnered over 2 billion views, becoming "one of the most watched rock videos of all time"), performed on piano by Axl Rose.
Guns N' Roses will continue the tour in stadiums in Europe, and on July 16 they will stop in Bucharest, for the first time reunited in the classic, established formula, for the rock concert of the year! The event, organized by Emagic, will take place at the National Arena and will bring Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan on the same stage.
