Villagers of Ioannina City (V.I.C.) is a psychedelic rock band from Greece. Their unique sound is a mix of post rock with stoner rock and a generous dose of Greek folk, the traditional music of Epirus, characterized by polyphony and the use of the clarinet.
Villagers Of Ioannina City was established in 2007, among the spectacular lakes and mountains of northwestern Greece. This geographical setting, so poetic, has had an abundant presence in the band's musical direction since the debut album, "Riza", released in 2014, material that can be described as a melange between the groove of classic rock and the uniqueness traditional Greek instruments
The band performed numerous shows, both on local stages and abroad, being also present at the most important festivals organized in Greece.
Their first album, RIZA (Mantra Records – April 2014) was critically and fan-acclaimed, receiving a lot of positive reviews not only from Greeks, but from people all over the world, which explains the rapid sell-out of the limited edition Double LPs and CDs.
The band released a new EP, Zvara/ Karakolia (Mantra Records – November 2014) which was released on 10” vinyl in January 2015.

In the fall of 2019, the album "Age of Aquarius" is released online, a complex material that had a production period of almost 4 years and that demonstrated its potential from the very first track. "Age of Aquarius" is a real strong musical feast inspired by the roots of Greek culture, but also a new experiment with all lyrics written and sung in English that opens new horizons for Villagers of Ioannina City.
