Saxon - Värmekyrkan.

 Betyg

This was my first gig of the year, and I must say, what a great start with one of my favorite bands Saxon.
The band, currently on their "Hell, Fire and Steel" European tour, played to a packed and sold-out crowd at Värmekyrkan, and you could definitely feel the energy in the audience.

The opening song, "Hell, Fire and Damnation", from the album of the same name, immediately set the bar high.
It was truly a powerful display of classic heavy metal.

This was later topped with songs like "And the Bands Played On", "Dallas 1 PM" and "Carpe Diem (Seize the Day)".
From the very first riff, it was clear that Saxon had not lost their spark.
The sound was massive, the light show was dazzling, and the crowd was engaged from the very first second.

Biff Byford's iconic voice made the venue erupt in cheers time and time again.
Guitarists Brian Tatler and Doug Scarratt delivered powerful riffs and flawless solos, while Nibbs Carter and Nigel Glockler kept the rhythm solid and explosive.

It was a night filled with energy and passion, proving once again why Saxon remains one of the most respected names in heavy metal.

Of course, "747 (Strangers in the Night)" and "Wheels of Steel" were two amazing highlights.
The iconic "Wheels of Steel" album celebrated its 45th anniversary, and it’s honestly mind-blowing how long the band has been around—and that they still perform at such a high level is incredible.
The whole evening was somewhat of a nostalgic journey that Saxon took us on, proving that they are still very much relevant in the metal genre.

The band played many fan favorites from their extensive career, creating a dynamic and varied setlist.
Personally, I’d say "Crusader", "Denim and Leather" and "Princess of the Night" stood out as the best of the night.

Frontman Biff Byford was in top form, constantly interacting with the audience, which created an intimate and engaging atmosphere.
The band's chemistry was tight, and every member contributed with impressive musical skill.

The acoustics and atmosphere of Värmekyrkan added to the intensity of the concert, and the sound quality was exceptional throughout the entire night.
The crowd, consisting of both longtime fans and new enthusiasts, showed their appreciation with loud ovations and singalongs.

It was a night filled with energy and passion, and Saxon once again proved why they are one of the most respected names in heavy metal.

In conclusion, Saxon's performance in Norrköping was a triumph.
They seamlessly blended nostalgia with new material, proving that they are still a force to be reckoned with in heavy metal.
For both loyal fans and newcomers, this was a night to remember.
