Duncan Lloyd - Outside notion

"Outside notion" is the new album form Maximo Park guitarist Duncal Lloyd. While he's made his name with Maximo park's indie rock, for this album he's trying something a bit different - ok very different. This album is far more experimental and psychedelic. There are beautiful orchestral sections - check out the fantastic instrumental "Journey B" as an example. At other times it's more folky, at others it's very psychedelic - it's a constantly changing sound. There are lots of rich musical textures here which makes it a very interesting album to listen to as each time you listen you're likely to notice extra small details.

There's an intimate personal feel to the album and it really is an album that's well worth a listen.
