NATIONAL COACH TRAVEL
Following the success of National Express service this year we have teamed up with them again for 2018. National Express will be running direct services to Bearded Theory from across the UK. Coach is a great way to head to the festival - it gets you here direct, avoids sat nav dramas and lets you get in the festival mood as soon as you hit the road. It's great value too with fares starting at £21.50 return, and an automatic 25% discount applied for those travelling in groups of 4 to 9, when booking in advance.
Coach travel is available from all the following locations on Thursday 24th May 2018. Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Stockport, Stoke-on-Trent, Leeds, Sheffield, Bristol, Gloucester, Worcester, London, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Leicester.

FAMILY
We have secured 2 additional family camping fields but, so we can manage the area better in relation to capacity, please select at the time of ticket purchase that this is the area you wish to camp in. It will assist us with allocating space prior to the festival and you will be given an additional wristband in order to take your camping equipment into this area. There are no additional costs to camp here and other ticket holders camped outside of this area can visit you as normal (unless they have camping equipment). If you forget to tick the box at ticket purchase, don’t worry, we will allocate wristbands to families when you arrive subject to space availability in the area.

FESTIVAL NEWS
We welcome our own version of an introducing stage being THE ONE BIG SHOWCASE. If you know an unsigned band, poets, live art or solo musicians who write and perform their own songs who you think would be great to perform, then please get them to apply via this link
We have 2 new venues joining us and that has been on the back of feedback given on social media wanting areas away from sound systems, fiddles and people trying to sing. The Kettle at the End of the Universe is a large capacity seating area around a fire with tea and coffees sold on a magic hat basis or free if you can’t afford it. This area is a quiet space where we will have story reading, discussions and poetry. The Woodland will welcome Funhouse Comedy who are taking over the stage nightly from midnight until 2 or 3am once the main acts have finished providing us with some amazing comedians and comperes. Tow vehicles on standby should any vehicles break down in the entry queues which caused the little longer than normal delay getting on-to site this year. We will also have a circus and theatre stage for the first time.
The Pallet Stage will be having a little makeover, the Woodland is still standing, Magical Sounds is back again, Convoy Cabaret is back, Rogues Hideout is being made bigger for the evening shows, Maui Waui is coming back, The Ship is back but with a different music selection and Something Else Tea Tent will be providing everyone with cake and rebels once again. The Earth Area, School and Children’s Village will remain as before also.
All our bars are now using bio cups which are 100% compostable and biodegradable. Sadly, we cannot re-use goblets or the like due to cross contamination reasons however this new approach will make sure we are as green as we can be while your slurp your beers. All traders will be using recycled wooden cutlery and plates

TIPI AND YURTS
Warm and snug on wet or windy nights and cool on hot summer afternoons, the tipis are made based on the Native American tradition from high quality materials and come complete with inner liner, full weather protection, groundsheet and matting.
A firm festival favorite, Tipis offer comfortable and roomy accommodation, so you can really make yourselves at home for the weekend. They are available in three different finishes so there’s something to suit couples, families, groups of friends and those who simply cannot live without their creature comforts!
