  
Anyone who has seen Scottish Blues Rock band King King play live in the last few years will know just how good they are. If you haven't seent hem yet, you've been missing out. When I saw them open for Thunder and Terrorvision at Wembley arena, they blew Terrorvision away and gave Thunder a good run for their money - that's how good they are live. They're great in the studio and I love their albums, but in my opinion it's live on stage where they're at their best as they feed off the energy of the crowd to take things up a notch..
Earlier this year the band filmed and recorded their show at the O2 ABC in Glasgow, and later this month it will be released as their first live album - the simply named "King King Live". It's being released as a 3 disc edition with a DVD and two CDs, which I think is a great way of doing it especially as the price is very reasonable. You get the full concert on DVD and for when you're not able to watch it, you can listen to the CDs.
Alan Nimmo on lead guitar and vocals puts in a superb performance both on guitar and vocals. Alongside him is a solid band and we get some lovely keyboard work from Bob Fridzema, and the rhythm section of Lindsay Coulson (Bass) and Wayne Proctor (drums) is rock solid. The band are tight, and their relentless touring really shows as they make things seem easy when it's anything but that.
The quality of the audio is excellent as you'd expect, and the video is a good quality too. there's absolutely nothing to find fault with here. It's one of those albums where I hate to finish my review and move onto something else as it's an album I could quite happily listen to again and again and again.
King King Live will be released on 21st October 2016
