Pale Honey are an Indie rock duo from Sweden. Well that's how they describe themselves, but I'd have said Indie-pop was a more accurate description for the opening track, "Over your head" which certainly has little that resembles rock - instead it's a nice synth-driven pop track. The second track, "Fish" does bring in more of a rock sound with it's guitars, but it still retains a bit of a pop feel. Overall the album is Indie-rock but with some pop mixed in there too.
One of the best songs on the album has to be "Youth" - check out the video below and see what you think.
The band have certainly been getting a good reception from fans and critics, and it's easy to see why - if you're a fan of Indie rock then there is plenty to like about this album. The vocals are very good and the music is also very good - guitar, synth and drums, and can shift from laid back to loud and angry in a blink before calming back down again.
Definitely well worth a listen for fans of Indie rock.
Pale Honey will be playing The Islington in London on 20th May.
