Home follows up 2014’s single Summer Sun, which help the band win of a bunch of US/UK/CA press such as Q Magazine, Uncut and The Line Of Best Fit with its dreamy, shoegaze indie rock tones.
The band will be touring extensively late Spring/early Summer to support the new record, which has been described alongside Slowdive, Toy and My Bloody Valentine.

Following their previously unveiled single “Summer Sun”, Slow Down Molasses continue the preview of their forthcoming studio album Burnt Black Cars with “Home”.
Drawing inspiration from a series of photographs taken by lead singer Tyson McShane’s father during the infamous Parisian anti-capitalist protests of May 1968, Burnt Black Cars captures the edgy, turbulent yet uplifting feeling of an unstable society seeking to create a better world.
“Home”, with its harmonious melodies and echoed vocals, has drawn comparisons to the likes of Broken Social Scene and British Sea Power.
“The songs on this record talk a lot about place and impermanence. Lots of it is pretty bleak, but there are flashes of hope and optimism, like ‘Home’ – it’s an attempt to process the confrontation and turmoil. It is probably the closest we’ve ever come to writing a genuine pop song. Of course, it takes some inspiration from the Talking Heads.
