International rock icon Yoshiki will play his first ever UK classical show in London at the Royal Festival Hall on May 28th bringing his iconic crystal piano to the famous concert hall.
He announced today that he will add three new concert dates across Asia to his highly anticipated YOSHIKI CLASSICAL TOUR. X-Japan’s founder and leader will bring his debut classical concert tour to Taipei, Taiwan (June 13th), Tokyo, Japan (June 16th) and Osaka, Japan (June 17th). The newly added concert dates follow Yoshiki’s recently announced Bangkok, Thailand date on June 10th.
Yoshiki is more a myth than man across Asia, part rock star, musical polymath, fashion icon and even superhero. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
He has been the catalyst for the visual-kei rock genre, a hugely influential, androgynous and flamboyant style that has pervaded Japanese pop culture.
Yoshiki has been immortalised by the great Stan Lee as a superhero who unleashes his power via the right combination of musical notes in a series of comic books.
He has sold 30 million records with his band X Japan as their drummer, multi instrumentalist and main songwriter.
He recently played a stunning piano duet with is own hologram at the SXSW Festival, see the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMgLnWNCfFM
For his classical work, he has worked with the legendary Sir George Martin and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. A compilation of his classical canon was released in October to international acclaim.
Yoshiki will perform original, classical songs from that recent solo release YOSHIKI CLASSICAL, which debuted at the top of the charts worldwide. YOSHIKI CLASSICAL debuted at #1 on the iTunes Classical Music chart in 10 countries (along with 4 Top 10 debuts), and has been spotlighted by Billboard Magazine, MTV, Reuters, and AOL, among others.
Yoshiki will embark on the YOSHIKI CLASSICAL TOUR beginning April 25th in southern California at Costa Mesa’s Segerstrom Center for the Arts before setting off across North America, Europe and Asia, culminating in Yoshiki’s native Japan.

About Yoshiki
Yoshiki, one of Asia's most influential music artists and biggest rock icons, is a songwriter, drummer and classically trained pianist. His rock group X Japan has sold 30 million singles and albums combined and filled the 55,000-seat Toyko Dome a record 18 times. Now the band’s popularity is spreading throughout the world, having recently completed a sold-out World Tour, performing in North America, Europe, Latin America, and South East Asia. In 1999, Yoshiki composed a piano concerto that he performed with a 77-piece orchestra to celebrate the tenth year of the Emperor of Japan's reign. In 2005, Yoshiki composed the theme song and conducted the Super World Orchestra at the opening ceremony of the World Expo. Previously, Yoshiki also recorded a classical album co-produced and arranged by acclaimed Beatles producer Sir George Martin and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Beyond music, Yoshiki has his own Visa Card and MasterCard issued by one of the largest Japanese banks. Recently, the legendary Stan Lee created a Super Hero based on him, and he was the first person for whom a Hello Kitty product line was named (“Yoshikitty”). In 2010, he launched the non-profit organization Yoshiki Foundation America (http://www.yoshikifoundationamerica.org), which continues to donate to various charitable organizations, including supporting Japanese Earthquake victims.
