Filter have been announced to play the Lock Up Stage at this year’s Reading & Leeds Festivals. The platinum-selling US outfit, formed around the nucleus of Richard Patrick (of Nine Inch Nails), will appear at this three-day, dual-location event as follows: Leeds on Saturday 24th August & Reading on Sunday 25th August.
Defined by frontman Patrick’s signature roar, Filter deliver smouldering guitars, pulsating rhythms & biting lyrics, and now – nearly 20 years after the release of their self-produced debut album, ‘Short Bus’, back in 1995 – they are joined by new guitarist and former Kill Hannah member, Jonny Radtke.
A brand new video for single, ‘What Do You Say’, is premiering on Vevo now. Watch it here: http://www.vevo.com/watch/filter/what-do-you-say/USWV41300059
‘What Do You Say’ features on the band’s sixth studio album and Wind-Up/Spinefarm Records’ debut, ‘The Sun Comes Out Tonight’, available digitally as well as on CD & vinyl formats now.
Filter have also announced two UK headline shows, the first of which will take place on August 26th at the Liquid Rooms, Edinburgh, whereas the second is scheduled for Islington O2 Academy, London on August 28th. These dates are part of a European tour, which runs to the end of August.
