Winter Mountain - Find, follow

Winter mountain are two singer-songwriters, one English, one Irish, who met on a train in Chicago. For this, their debut EP, they brought in some outsdie musicians - Audrey Riley (string arranger for Coldplay, Nick Cave etc), Robbie McIntosh (guitarist for Paul McCartney & The Pretenders) and Leo Abrahams (guitarist for Brian Eno & Florence and the machine). The EP is being released on Charcoal records - the label owned by Irish singing star Cara Dillon and her husband Sam Lakeman.

It's a great EP - just three songs but all three are really good. It's singing accompanied by guitar and some drums, so fairly simple, but the vocals are what makes this such a great EP - great vocal harmonies and it really does remind you of Simon and Garfunkel. An excellent release and I look forward to them recording a full album hopefully before too long.

Track listing:

3. Whenever you lay your head down
