Read more about the festival... Some miles north from Göteborg and bordering Norway we find the region of Bohuslän, a tiny area that belonged to Norway since 872. Then Denmark united the north under its kingdom. Finally Sverige defeated Denmark in two epical wars (1643–45 and 1657–58) and this led to the incorporation into Sweden of Bohuslän. In the north of this landskap, few miles from the Norwegian border, we find Strömstad.
