Mighty Sounds Mighty Sounds is one of the biggest ska/punk festivals in Europe and in the Czech Republic. The festival began in 2005 in the town Olsi near Tabor. In 2010 it was moved to the unused airport of Tabor. In 2007 festival attracted around 10 thousand people. In 2010 festival attendance exceeded 12,000 people. Mighty Sounds festival originated as small three days event at village Olsi near Tábor. Event became quickly popular among fans of punk and ska music in Czech republic and neighbour countries too. Originally festival featured one big stage and second smaller one plus smaller stage called Theater tent. Also smaller tent called "Sado maso stage" featured techno and drum'n'bass DJs during the festival. After heavy rains in 2009 was area of festival and nearby campsite for visitors damaged by loads of mud and owner of the original festival site in Olsi didn't want to renew the contract for next event. Mighty Sounds moved to unused grass covered airfield in Tabor for the event of 2010. Festival featured two big stages for the first time. These are called Jan Hus and Jan Zizka stages. There is also Theater tent where less known bands perform, Radio 1 stage, which features electronic music DJs and Rudeboy Rhythm stage, which features DJs playing variety of genres, usually older ska, reggae, rocksteady and punk music .
