The Falls (Marion Bay) | FESTIVALPHOTO
The Falls (Marion Bay) The Falls Music & Arts Festival is in its 10th and 20th year’s, happening simultaneously in Lorne, Victoria and Marion Bay, Tasmania. It’s a few days of fun in the sun, jam packed with fine tunes, warm weather, camping and arts. Falls is the perfect way to unwind at the end of the year, catch up with friends and make some new ones. With both artists and campers alike coming from all over Australia and the rest of the world, there is always something new to enjoy and discover. We’ve amassed a lot of friends over the years that have helped us get where we are today and we’d like to thank them all. Most recently that of the support from Graeme Wood, who recognised the importance of the Arts to communities like ours and has embraced our event. It’s a really special festival and at the heart of Falls really is its locations. They’re a bit magic actually. Whether you prefer the rainforest or the beach we have you covered. Camping here and escaping with nature is all part of the fun. It will give you the energy to leap into the new year and beyond. http://2012.fallsfestival.com.au/ |

Marion Bay is currently still on sale, but you better be quick as tickets are being snapped up at a swift pace.
So if you want to enjoy the sweet sounds of Hot Chip, The Flaming Lips, The Hives, Matt Corby, and more you better be quick and make plans to spend the new year in Tasmania.
Still need some convincing? Well, for one it’s cheap with ticket prices being heavily subsidised, and the festival site is amazingly beautiful. Marion Bay truly is the most beautiful festival location. White sands, ocean breezes, balmy days, warm starry nights – you get it. No wonder so many people travel from all over Australia each year to visit her.
Loads more flights across the Bass Strait this year over the festival period have also been added, or, if you want to take your car and as much luggage as you can muster catch the boat. Just don’t swim.
But most importantly, they’re the only tickets that are still available! All tickets include free camping. Two day tickets are $193 + b/f, three day tickets are $226 plus b/f. Limited Gimme Shelter tickets are also available and include tent and sleeping mat.
It’s a banner year for Falls as well, with the Lorne site celebrating its 20th anniversary; while Tasmania’s Marion Bay location celebrates its 10th year. There’s true reason to celebrate too, following news earlier in the year that the festival site was rescued by a rich philanthropist from its financial struggles.
