Good atmosphere and party vibes are guaranteed at our next confirmation: IGNITE are coming to Dinkelsbühl.
The West Coast hardcore band has always stood for great and catchy songs that make you want to drink beer and party. Of course, this is will also happen in Dinkelsbühl in the summer, when IGNITE will be knocking down open doors with their melodic hardcore. After the vacant singer position was perfectly filled with Eli Santana and with another successful disc was heaved onto the shelves with their the -titled sixth album that got released in March, the band's goal at SUMMER BREEZE is: Full throttle! Do you still remember the grandiose show of 2014, when even an enthusiastic Robb Flynn (Machine Head) stormed the stage? You can expect just as much from IGNITE in 2022!

Knownly, the SUMMER BREEZE 2022 celebrates its 25th anniversary and for that we have thought about another special evening as a small thank you for your year-long loyalty.
After opening our main stage this year as a bonus already on Wednesday, we will be opening on Tuesday the 16th. August, from the early evening on the Fucking Party Stage, only bands that were guests at SUMMER BREEZE in Abtsgmund in the very first years.
This is how with VOODOO KISS and CRACK UP, we were able to recover two bands from the complete sinking, as well as with APOPHIS and FLESHCRAWL, two Death Metal grenades that also connect us with a long history.
With END OF GREEN as a headliner, you get to enjoy a very close-up show that will let you go into the following party night and the rest of the festival weekend.
So who wants to time travel with us to the early SUMMER BREEZE years will have the chance to do so on Tuesday.
There will be no day tickets for this anniversary sause.

Running order updated

Due to logistical reasons we have had to adjust the running order, so NAPALM DEATH and PRIMORDIAL, as well as ACCU§ER and GOROD had to switch their slots, respectively. Furthermore, we managed to reduce the most criticised overlapping of bands to five minutes and swapped the slots for SKÁLMÖLD and CLITEATER, so all pagan humppa fans now can enjoy both SKÁLMÖLD and KORPIKLAANI. Most metal tattoo: Take part in the tattoo contest at SUMMER BREEZE!

Together with TätowierMagazin we will be looking for the best “metal” tattoo on Saturday, August 20th at our fifth stage.
Have you got a band logo, an album cover, or maybe even a Dio or Lemmy portrait under your skin? Then stop by and show us that masterpiece.

How do I register?
Come to the tent after 18:00 and grab a registration form. These will be available at the stage and at the tent entrance. Depending on the number of registrations, we might have to do a preselection. But if your is the “most metal tattoo”, there's nothing in the way of you taking the first place.

Sing Us Your Song: Karaoke party in the circus tent

The additional stage at SUMMER BREEZE is not only meant for the artists we've booked, but you can have a go, too, as part of the nightly karaoke sessions.
From Wednesday to Friday, the circus tent stage will not only host performances by disco metal band TRAGEDY, but also by all aficionado singers among SUMMER BREEZE patrons who would like to try their luck in front of their friends and the rest of the audience.
Towards the end of each TRAGEDY show, all those willing to sing will get the chance to perform the biggest hits in the history of metal together with the band and rock the circus tent. Later on, TRAGEDY will leave the stage entirely to you. The team with the karaoke machine will be happy to take all your requests.

Additional programme and stage!

This year there will be an additional stage with a special bonus programme for the first time: Close to the festival entrance there will be a circus tent providing entertainment from Tuesday to Saturday night.
We have come up with a varied programme which reads as follows:

Tuesday, 16. August 2016:
Kicking off the Tuesday will be another Fantasy Film Fest offshoot. In cooperation with the makers of FFF, we will be screening the New Zealand heavy metal horror comedy 'Deathgasm', which no one over 18 should miss. The film will be screened three times, at 17:00, 19:00 and 21:00.
After this visual treat you can train your headbanging and dance moves for the following Metal Disco brought to you by our friends from Metal.de. And who knows, maybe some musicians will be there to party too...

Wednesday, 17. August 2016:
The much beloved Bembers' new comedy show 'Rock'n'roll Jesus' will leave no dry eye in the house, and afterwards the first of four appearances by New York's disco metal band TRAGEDY will heat up the night. The guys from the East Coast have promised a real disco inferno, which will turn into a cool metal karaoke party every night for you to sing your lungs out. Early on still accompanied by TRAGEDY – pretty much as their lead singer – and later with recorded music as usual.

Thursday, 18. August 2016 and Friday, 19. August 2016:
Thursday and Friday will be dedicated to art from12:00 to 17:00: The famous cover artists Thomas Ewerhard, Jan Meininghaus and Björn Gooßes will be our guests with the successful art exhibition 'Painted In Blood', which has already had a successful four-week run in Bochum. The three artists will be available in person both days for questions or a chat. Both on Thursday and on Friday Swabian groove metallers UNDERTOW will inaugurate the exhibition with an exclusive unplugged show.
Later at night TRAGEDY will ignite their Disco Inferno again and the karaoke box will be started.

Saturday, 20. August 2016:
On Saturday at 15:00 we will look after our young ones, as Germany's leading rock band for children RANDALE will give our kids a little early rock education. As a special bonus, all parents with kids up to 12 years of age will get free access to the circus tent on the campsite. Therefore, there's no need to have a SUMMER BREEZE ticket to attend, since the circus tent is on the campsite, not on the infield.
For Saturday, in collaboration with Germany's most popular skin art TätowierMagazin, we have organized a tattoo contest for all our patrons, where a knowledgeable jury will choose the three best metal tattoos.
The grand finale of the circus tent's first year will be TRAGEDY with their charming Disco Inferno, where you can burn your last energy reserves.

In the next few days we will be posting more detailed information about all the programme items.
Please note that the circus tent has obviously got a limited capacity, so there may be slight delays or limited access during the different programme items.

Registration period for GREEN CAMPING about to finish!

In a few days the registration period for GREEN CAMPING will finish. Those who want to rest their bones in this special camping area should hurry up, because after June 30 we won't be accepting any more registrations.

When registering you need to tell us, besides your contact info, how many persons and vehicles it will be.
ATTENTION: Please make your reservation only once you know exactly how many people will be in your group. The registered number of people is final and may not be changed afterwards. Each group reservation must be made by ONE MEMBER of the group only. There is no need to register each person individually.
Only registered people will have access to GREEN CAMP. Access is not granted without a valid pass,meaning it is not possible to invite people from the “regular” campsite into the GREEN CAMP area.
There will be a special entrance to this separate, closed off area. Registered people will receive all details prior to the festival.
Naturally, the rules that apply on the regular campsite do also apply on the GREEN CAMP area, in addition to the special rules. You can get an overview in our Festival ABC.

With the announcements of the marching band BLASMUSIK ILLENSCHWANG the billing for all four stages at SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2016 is now complete.

Before you start asking all sorts of questions about the running order and which band plays on what date:
Behind the scenes we are still working on the final schedule, so we will announce it as soon as it is confirmed. This should be the case in early July at the latest, so please have a bit more patience.


-Bus transfers to SUMMER BREEZE-
There will again be buses for SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2016 from Nuremberg main train station/airport, Stuttgart main train station/ airport and Ulm main train station directly to the main entrance of the festival site in Dinkelsbühl. Please make sure you reserve your seats on these bus transfers before you leave home, ideally online from April 15th, 2016. You will get a confirmation and your travel documents by email immediately after successfully booking your tickets.

You may email your questions to gaby@mondialevents.de at any time. The buses have enough loading space to accomodate your tents, beer, etc.

The prices shown in the timetables are for a single trip, either to or from the Dinkelsbühl festival site. Since there is a minimum of 20 people needed per journey, we kindly ask you to book your tickets until July 17th, 2016 at the latest.

Finnish thrashers LOST SOCIETY will perform at this year's SUMMER BREEZE Open Air as part of the Nuclear Blast Label Night, so the bill is now complete.

-Warm-up Wednesday: RIOT OF THE UNDERGROUND-

After the last two years the new feature RIOT OF THE UNDEGROUND enjoyed a great reception among you, we will present it again in the year 2016 on the Camel Stage on Warm-Up Wednesday.

The stage times of the RIOT OF THE UNDEGROUND bands were planned in a way they don't overlap with the ones on the Nuclear Blast Label Night, so you get your money's worth during the warm-up day already!
AEVERIUM play dark melodic metal, DOWNFALL OF GAIA should already be known by a few of you with their atmospheric post sludge metal, Belgium's EVIL INVADERS bring you traditional speed metal, FÄULNIS celebrate depressive black metal, KETZER have been subverting the underground for years with their extreme metal, NOVELISTS are for all those into modern, progressive metalcore and OBSCURE INFINITY are a pure death metal act. The motto should be clear: Support the underground!

-Reserving camping space-
This year it is possible again to reserve camping space at SUMMER BREEZE for groups of 20 people and more. For 8.- Euros per person you can reserve sufficient camping space on a separate campsite close to the main entrance and to a shower station.

Group reservations can be made until 30.06.2016. However, the area set aside for group reservations is limited. Should the available space be used up before 30.06.2016, the time period for reservations will end automatically.

There's room for seven cars included in a reservation for 20 people, from 24 people an eighth car is included, from 27 people a ninth one, etc.

Portable toilets have to be ordered separately. Ordering one portable toilet costs € 150.- and can be added on the order form linked above. Portable toilets can only be ordered in conjunction with a camping space reservation. Ordering a single portable toilet is not possible.

PLEASE NOTE: Rental portable toilets are emptied once during the festival, weather and ground conditions permitting. Each portable toilet has a holding capacity of 250 litres, which is enough for approximately 20 people in normal use. So if you are interested in ordering a portable toilet, but your group is larger than 20 people, you should consider ordering a second toilet.

After successfully completing your order, you will receive precise information by email about how to proceed at the festival entrance.

ATTENTION: Please do only reserve camping space and toilets once you know exactly how many people your group will include. The registered number is final and may not be altered afterwards! Group reservations will be made by ONLY ONE member of the group. It is not necessary for each group member to register individually. The same person must order the toilets, so they can be assigned to the correct area.

-Green Camping 2016-
After the great success of our GREEN CAMPING area in the last two years, we will keep offering it free of charge in 2016.

As is known from the rules in the past years, a peaceful, considerate and ecological behaviour is paramount in this camping area, so there's a special set of rules for GREEN CAMPING:
- Strict observance of the nighttime peace from 1:00am to 7:00am
- Prohibition of aggregates and other sources of noise (car hifi use only at a moderate volume)
- Strict waste separation and disposal
- Self dependent cleaning of the used camping grounds
- Consideration with camping neighbours
- Sensible use of water supplies in showers and toilets

At GREEN CAMPING we depend on your active help. During the festival we will designate a contact person to take care of your queries and receive any (sensible) suggestions.

Since the surface for GREEN CAMPING is limited, camping there will only be possible with a prior reservation.

In order to take your reservation, we need you to provide us with your contact information, as well as the number of people and vehicles.
We are taking reservations starting now and until 30.06.2016. Should the available surface be used up before that date, the reservation process will end automatically.
ATTENTION: Please make your reservation only once you know exactly how many people will be in your group. The registered number of people is final and may not be changed afterwards. Each group reservation must be made by ONE MEMBER of the group only. There is no need to register each person individually.

- GREEN CAMPING relies and depends on the responsibility of the people who make use of it. We hope for some intra-group control. If anyone acts flagrantly against the GREEN CAMPING philosophy they lose the right of access and have to camp on the regular campsite. In case of gross misconduct, we reserve the right to expel the person in question from the festival altogether!
- There will be an appropriate number of portable toilets and urinals in the GREEN CAMPING area for use free of charge. There will be two paid shower centres about 400m from the GREEN CAMPING area.
- Only tents and gazebos with no added elements are allowed.
- Big furniture elements such as armchairs, sofas, beds and refrigerators are not allowed.
- GREEN CAMP users agree to take their whole tents and camping equipment with them on the day of their departure and to dispose of their whole waste separately (recycling-ready) at the GREEN CAMPING waste disposal station.


-Disabled people / wheelchairs-
We are constantly trying to improve the service for our disabled visitors in order to make the festival as comfortable and barrier-free as possible for them.

Seriously disabled visitors with a G (significant walking disability), AG (exceptional walking disability), B (need of constant care), H (helplessness) or BL (blindness) in their handicapped ID will receive a free ticket for their accompanying person at the VIP Container . It's important that disabled visitors present a valid ticket as well as their handicapped ID with one of the aforementioned marks.

As in the last few years, there is going to be a special platform incl. wheelchair accessible toilet for wheelchair users at the open-air stages. In the Party Tent wheelchair users may use the VIP platform. Please speak to the security personnel at either side of the stage barrier and they will help you. There will be a wheelchair accessible toilet there, too.

Again there is going to be a special camping area for wheelchair users and disabled people. There we will be able to help all visitors who depend on electricity (e.g. respirators, electric wheelchairs) and those who can only walk short distances. Besides wheelchair accessible toilets there is going to be a wheelchair accessible shower in close proximity as well.

In order to secure a large enough camping area, users have to make their reservation in advance.

A handicapped ID marked with a G (significant walking disability), AG (exceptional walking disability), B (need of constant care), H (helplessness) or BL (blindness) or proof of their dependence on electricity or short distances is a prerequisite.
Those who depend on electricity have to communicate this in advance during registration. Please note electricity is only provided for vital equipment such as respirators, electric wheelchairs, etc., not for charging mobile phones and similar. Please remember to bring a long enough extension lead.

In order to process you registration, you must fill out the reservation form linked above until 30.06.2016.

There are two changes from the last few years:
There is no limit any more regarding the group size. The disabled visitor reserving the camping space may register up to two accompanying persons free of charge. Each additional accompanying person must pay a reservation fee of € 8.-

Besides the camping reservation, a separate parking ticket must be purchased in advance or on site with an extra charge.

Here's a quick overview:
1. There are wheelchair accessible showers for disabled visitors in close proximity of the disabled campsite.
2. A reservation is needed to camp on the disabled campsite. See above for details about the reservation process.
3. Besides the camping reservation, a separate parking ticket must be purchased in advance or on site with an extra charge.


-Campsite open on Wednesday already-
After opening the campsite on Tuesday in 2015 was a huge success, we will open early again this year.

Therefore, the entrance corridors will already open on Tuesday, August 16 at 10:00 and stay open until 22:00 in the evening. In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday it won't be possible to access the campsite, but on Wednesday we will open at 10:00 again, this time all the way until Sunday. So all those who wish to arrive a day earlier for SUMMER BREEZE 2016 may do so during the 12-hour time window on Tuesday.

However, we have to charge those arriving early a 10.- Euro contribution towards logistical costs per person just like last year, because it wouldn't be fair that the significant additional costs (personnel, rent, etc.) are carried by all campers, but only those arriving early.

In return, those arriving on Tuesday get the chance to camp near the infield (i.e. the entrance to the concert area). In addition, we will offer these early campers the free shuttle service to and from Dinkelsbühl on Tuesday already. This way, all those who normally had to rush to see the first bands as soon as they arrived will get a chance to use the extra day to visit the beautiful town of Dinkelsbühl. The exact timetable for the shuttle buses is not 100% set yet, but it will be made public in time before the festival start.

All those camping in the GREEN CAMPING area, on reserved camping space, in the disabled camping area and in the VIP campsite there will obviously also get the chance to arrive on Tuesday between 10:00 and 22:00 for the above mentioned fee.

Reserve some ice-cold Beck's beer for the campsite!

Those who'd rather not carry their beer all the way from home or from the Dinkelsbühl supermarkets can now reserve packs of Beck's beer vor SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2015.

There is the option to reserve packs of Beck's beer and Beck's Green Lemon shandy using the Print@Home function on our website so you can pick them up ice-cold from the supermarket in the barn on sector D of the campsite.

One pack of beer or shandy contains 24 cans and costs only 30 Euros including the deposit for returnable cans (“Pfand”). This works out at one Euro per can (24 cans at 1 Euro plus 25 cents deposit).

Only 1 Euro system commission per pack and the transaction fee for each order have to be added, so it makes even more sense to order many packs at a time.

This means: Reserve your ice-cold Beck's beer or Beck's Green Lemon at a very fair price under http://www.summer-breeze.de/de/tickets/print-at-home-tickets.html, then print out your Print@Home confirmation(s) (no printed confirmation, no beer!), go to the campsite and pick up your packs whenever you want presenting your ID card, so you have cold beer at all times.

You don't have to pick up your packs all at once, but can rather take them with you one by one.

Orders can be placed until Saturday, 08.08.2015 at 23:00. You can obviously buy packs of Beck's beer and Beck's Green Lemon on site as well, although at a slightly higher price...

It is prohibited to supply alcohol to minors under 16, which is why you must present your ID card together with the confirmation PDF.

Shower and WC flatrate

This year we will offer a shower and WC flatrate for the first time, which you can get at all shower stations for 10.- Euros.

Single showers for 2.50 Euros are obviously still possible. Those who wish to use the flushable toilets outside of the flatrate can obviously still do so for 1.- Euro. The two main shower stations will be open continuously from Tuesday at 12:00 noon until Sunday at 12:00 noon. The other two shower stations will be open continuously from Wednesday 12:00 noon and also until Sunday 12:00.

Arrival and departure with public transport from Ansbach/Feuchtwangen

This year there won't be any special services from Ansbach / Feuchtwangen provided by the public transport authority any more! Unfortunately our hands are tied in this respect, which is why we urgently advise you to travel via Crailsheim and Ellwangen. The regular services from Ansbach will obviously operate normally... yet they will not be stopping at the Schiesswasen stop as usual, but at the bus station ZOB Schwedenwiese. Again, we are absolutely powerless in this respect, as the final decision lies with the transport authorities. However, the SUMMER BREEZE shuttle buses will stop at the bus station ZOB Schwedenwiese every day.

Due to the situation during the arrival in the last few years, it has become clear that many of you prefer to arrive on Tuesday already.

That's why we have decided to officially open the campsite a day earlier this year. Therefore, the entrance corridors will already open on Tuesday, August 11 at 10:00 and stay open until 22:00 in the evening. Since we hadn't opened on Tuesday ever before, we have to ask for your help: Please give us feedback regarding the early opening of the campsite. Only this way we will be able to calculate how many patrons we can expect on that day.

Reminder: Information about the free bus shuttle between the festival site and Dinkelsbühl.

This year there will be a few minor changes regarding the free bus shuttle between the festival site and the town of Dinkelsbühl.

On Wednesday (13.08.), the main arrival day, the shuttle buses will run between the Schiesswasen bus stop in Dinkelsbühl and the festival site from approx. 10:00 to approx. 22:00 in order to guarantee a smooth arrival by public transport.

On Thursday (14.08.), Friday (15.08.) and Saturday (16.08.) the buses will run between the central bus station Schwedenwiese and the festival site from 08:00 to 22:00, which means a much shorter walk for those visiting the old town.

On Sunday (17.08.), the main departure day, the shuttle buses will again run between the festival site and the Schiesswasen bus stop from 07:00 and 14:00 in order to guarantee a smooth connection to the local bus and train services.

As you know and probably understand, open fires are prohibited on the whole festival. Gas and charcoal grills, on the other hand, are allowed as longs as they are used for what they were intended. All grills and stoves MUST be set up on their corresponding stands on firm ground. Coal trays must not be in contact with the ground. Please note: Oil lamps are not allowed on the festival site. The same applies to firewood and cressets.

2.: SUMMER BREEZE 2012 @ rockinvasion
Our friends from Rockinvasion were out and about again during SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2012. Some of you may have got their mic rammed in your faces in order to get some wisdom (and alcohol) drenched words from you. But the bands weren't safe from the camera team either.

3.: CORVUS CORAX release DVD of their SUMMER BREEZE 2012 show
Many of you probably remember the captivating gig CORVUS CORAX played at last year's SUMMER BREEZE festival accompanied by the taiko drummers of WADOKYO. Said event will soon find its way into your living rooms, because the kings of gleemen are planning the release of a DVD which they are financing through the crowd-funding platform Pledge.

Here's a few words from the band itself:
“Since 2012 there is a project into which we're pouring our hearts and souls. Together with the Düsseldorf taiko academy WADOKYO we are working on the fusion of our music with the traditional Japanese art of taiko drumming. We are fascinated by the power and energy that emanates from this centuries-old tradition, and we're happy we found collaborators such as WADOKYO, who are among the best of their craft in Europe. So far we have performed the live show 'CORVUS CORAX meet WADOKYO' twice: at the Castlefest in the Netherlands and at one of Germany's biggest metal festivals, Summer Breeze.”

The show was filmed at both festivals and will be released on DVD in late April. Since CORVUS CORAX have always been independent from the record industry and even run their own label, it was only obvious for them to look for new possibilities on the internet. That's why the fans are being involved in both the planning and financing of this release. There are of course a lot of exclusive and unique things to purchase, such as a private banquet with the band in the Spandau citadel, an unplugged show in your living room, musical isntruments built by Wim and many more.

1.: More bands confirmed

Far too long it's been quiet around Sweden's NAGLFAR. Their latest album 'Harvest' dates back to 2007. After that, their fans had to endure a real test of patience. However, just in time for our 15th anniversary, band leader Kristoffer W. Olivius and his cohorts have finally shown some mercy. 'Teras' is NAGLFAR's new, hate-filled storm of nordic/melodic black metal, and it's right on par with its predecessors in terms of intensity and class. And that's certainly no mean feat, keeping in mind the band's debut album 'Vittra' was an instant genre classic, which managed to gracefully carry on the legacy of a certain band named Dissection. Since then, NAGLFAR have had to go through a few line-up changes, but this hasn't harmed the black metal flagship's status in the least. That's why we are incredibly stoked to welcome Umea's finest at SUMMER BREEZE again after their first appearance in 2003!

Since their formation, EVERY TIME I DIE have set themselves apart from the hordes of soundalike hardcore bands by never pinning themselves to just this one style, always being able to look beyond their own noses. No matter if it was rock, alternative or speed, they were never bluffing, as all of their excursions into neighboring genres made perfect sense. Same thing happens on their new album 'Ex Lives', which is once again coherent without sounding limited or stagnant, which nowadays is no mean feat. So if your like your hardcore varied and ambitious yet light-footed, honest and authentic, EVERY TIME I DIE is the band for you. Please give them a warm welcome for the first time at SUMMER BREEZE!

Doesn't it sometimes appear to you that a once-dangerous monster called rock'n'roll has kinda lost its bite as of late? What at first seemed menacing and savage got tamer and tamer over time. Luckily, PETER PAN SPEEDROCK are after our life juice, at least according to the title of their latest album, 'We Want Blood!', breathing fire back into the tired beast. Still 15 years after their formation, their high-speed hard rock keeps blowing the wax out of your ears and should be an absolute feast for fans of Turbonegro, the Hellacopters or the criminally underrated Zeke. 2.: Cancellations
Unfortunately we need to inform that DEICIDE, ARCHITECTS, FIREWIND and THE GENERATORS have had to cancel their appearances at SUMMER BREEZE 2012 for different reasons. Apologies to all who were looking forward to their shows. We will not rest and try to book these bands again for SUMMER BREEZE in the coming years.

4.: SUMMER BREEZE Catwalk
This year we want to invite you for the first time to walk the SUMMER BREEZE Catwalk. And not in your normal metal festival clothes, but in a full costume.



Every year at the festival we get to see the most outlandish outfits and costumes, such as tanga slips which almost don't even deserve that denomination, bunny hats, aluminium foil armours, etc. We want to give these brave SUMMER BREEZE fans some more attention.

Therefore at SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2012 we will be holding a contest for the best, craziest, funniest outfit. All you crazy people wishing to participate should gather on Friday, August 17th, at 21:30 in the Party Tent, left from the stage. From there you will be led onto the stage, which is normally reserved for the bands playing, to present your outfit to a hopefully huge screaming audience. The crowd will then choose the winner.

First prize: 1 x 2 VIP passes (incl. VIP camping) for SUMMER BREEZE 2013 + 10 drink vouchers
Runners up 2 to 5: 1 x 3-day tickets for SUMMER BREEZE 2013 + 10 drink vouchers each
Runners up 6 to 10: 10 drink vouchers each

In order to have the crowd on your side it would make sense to be seen all over the festival in you outfit from Wednesday on, making some self-promotion.

So if a tennis sock shall be your only puiece of clothing, or if you think a shower cap matches your grandma's apron perfectly, you are the person we are looking for.


5.: Boarding kennels during SUMMER BREEZE Open Air
As you all know, dogs are not allowed on the entire festival site. To all those who up to know had to stay away from the festival because they didn't have anyone to look after their four-legged friends, we can now offer a solution during the festival days: Hundezentrum Mittelfranken.



Hundezentrum Mittelfranken is one of the most modern boarding kennels in all of Germany. Their main focus is a dog school and boarding facilities. This includes feeding and fur care as well as the necessary social contact with humans. A 4,000m² field provides plenty of room for exercise.

For SUMMER BREEZE ticket holders the boarding kennel has a cost of 15.- Euros a day instead of the usual 18.- Euros.

Since the release of their amazing breakthrough album 'Inwards', DEW-SCENTED have been at the forefront of European thrash metal. Since then, the cool bunch led by frontman Leif Jensen have been producing fantastic albums full of unstoppable riff power and overwhelming intensity at nicely regular intervals, cementing the band's excellent reputation time and again. In 2012, DEW-SCENTED aim at kick-starting their career with an entirely new line-up – with the exception of band boss Leif – and the fantastic new album 'Icarus', and are gearing up to shatter the SUMMER BREEZE Open Air into small pieces. We are stoked to welcome the indestructible machine called DEW-SCENTED at our festival once more. Get thrashed!



When AGRYPNIE played the SUMMER BREEZE festival in 2008 for the first and only time so far, they were booked as consolation for all those who were mourning the recent disbanding of Nocte Obducta. Four years, one studio album and one EP later, the Hessians have made a career for themselves, having now reached the same level as the aforementioned group. Their new studio album is still being recorded as we speak, but their last EP 'Asche' was already an announcement for big things to come in the realm of post black metal. Expressive, multi-faceted, melancholic, dynamic – all these attributes fit AGRYPNIE like a glove and are underlined by the fact that their songs don't ever become predictable or interchangable. One of the most exciting bands our scene has to offer nowadays.

4.: Traveling to SUMMER BREEZE by public transport
For all those who are not using a car, we have compiled all the relevant information in a PDF file in order to make your journey by bus and rail as easy as possible.



Mondial Reisen, the company which offered a bus shuttle service from Stuttgart and Nuremberg airports and rail stations for the first time last year, have expanded their service to the main rail station in Ulm. This should be very useful to all those who will be traveling to the SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2012 via Munich. Mondial Reisen is a long time business partner of the SUMMER BREEZE festival.

Bus transfers from Stuttgart and Nuremberg airports and rail stations and Ulm rail station to SUMMER BREEZE

For the first time ever, there is going to be a direct bus service from Nuremberg central rail station and airport and from Ulm central rail station to the main entrance to SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2012 in Dinkelsbühl. The existing connections with Stuttgart central rail station and Stuttgart airport remain unchanged.

Since there is a required minimum number of 20 passengers in order to secure the bus service, we kindly ask you to book your trip on https://booking.mondialevents.de/summerbreeze no later than July 20, 2012. Upon successful completion of the booking process you will immediately receive a booking confirmation and your travel documents per email.

In 2012 SUMMER BREEZE will celebrate its 15th year of existance. In order to duly celebrate, you can look forward to a great “best-of-SUMMER BREEZE” bill, to which we will obviously add a few hot bands that haven't yet played your favourite festival.



Long story short: The wait has come to an end! The first few bands for SUMMER BREEZE 2012 are confirmed! The bands that will make your ears red hot are:



SUBWAY TO SALLY

There's no way this band could be missing from the 15th anniversary of the SUMMER BREEZE Open Air. You could almost say SUBWAY TO SALLY belong to the festival's inventory. Their first appearance was in 2000, and in 2012 it's already going to be their sixth. They love the festival, and the fans love them, especially their music. By now, the Potsdam band are not only one of the biggest medieval rock bands, but they are one of the top names of the entire hard music scene. Therefore, mainman Eric Fish and his cohorts are a more than worthy headliner for your favorite festival's birthday edition. Get ready for a fireworks display of hits – ranging from heavy, danceable songs to tender and emotional ones! There is something for everybody here! And also don't miss their latest hit album 'Schwarz In Schwarz'.



SICK OF IT ALL

We are absolutely stoked to be able to celebrate our 15th birthday with another living legend. Ladies and gentlemen, SICK OF IT ALL! This way, SUMMER BREEZE 2012 becomes a double birthday party, for the flagship of New York Hardcore is already turning 25. To celebrate in style, they are releasing 'Nonstop', an album of re-recorded old classics from the band's extensive back catalogue. No doubt about it, at their second SUMMER BREEZE appearance SICK OF IT ALL will put a fist full of brutal hardcore classics and violent gang shouts right in your face. You will witness a K.O. the Klitschko brothers wouldn't be able to top. Guys, always keep up your guard! SICK OF IT ALL haven't come all the way to give up their position as leaders of the scene!



NAPALM DEATH

NAPALM DEATH are coming to lay waste to SUMMER BREEZE once more. In 2012 the inventors of grindcore haven't lost any of their impact and inimitable aggression. Best proof is their last show in Dinkelsbühl, when they beat every last bit of mud out of all attendants' brains at noon already , and their still-hot last studio album 'Time Waits For No Slave', which kicked in all of their younger competitors' teeth as they left them behind, showing who has and will always have the biggest balls in grindcore. There's only one thing you can do when this band plays, no matter if you're a normal festivalgoer or a musician: Look up to them! It's nice to see it's possible to exist for over 20 years in such an extreme genre without having to compromise one bit. Their success proves them right! Look forward to some immortal grindcore classics! By the way: NAPALM DEATH have already begun recording their 14th studio album. Maybe there will be new grind material ready in time for the festival!

Behind the 24th door of our Advent Calendar there's none other than our favourite vikings AMON AMARTH, who are now confirmed as the second headliner for the 15th SUMMER BREEZE Open Air beside Subway To Sally.

It's almost incredible the way our Swedish friends have enjoyed a continued rise to the top of the scene. Top-ten chart entries, headliner slots on all major festivals, sold-out tours, enthusiastic fans everywhere – by now Mr Johan Hegg and Co. have become real stars, but they still have their feet firmly planted on the ground, because they haven't forgotten where they started.
