Epica
Epica is a Dutch symphonic metal band, founded by guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen subsequent to his departure from After Forever. Often referred to as one of the most prominent bands of the gothic metal scene, they have been within the 15th first positions of the Dutch charts since their second long-length release, Consign to Oblivion. Epica combine growl vocals by Mark Jansen with soprano and lyrical vocals by Simone Simmons, which have been its frontman and woman since the beginning of the band.
